Why should I use a professional oven cleaning business to clean my oven?
It's a dirty job, why do it yourself?
Cleaning the oven has got to be one of the most unlikeable chores in the house. It can be repeatedly ignored until the appliance gets to a desperate condition! The over the counter chemicals you can buy are not cheap and can be unpleasant to use, are harmful and may damage your oven’s components. Why not let us do it for you? Karen’s Ovengleam has everything required to do the job properly. No mess, no fuss - just a gleaming oven after approximately 2 hours of work which is ready to use immediately.

Why use Karen’s Ovengleam for my oven cleaning?
As we have over 13 years experience in the oven cleaning industry, we offer a wealth of knowledge and experience in oven cleaning.  We believe we offer a superior quality service for our customers and repeatedly achieve a highly superior quality clean for our clients, with a vast majority of our clients using our services again and again. We also believe that our clientele cannot find a better service, value or aftercare from anyone else. We care and are very proud of the high service we offer our clients. Our professional reputation is very good and we are proud of the exceptional results we consistently achieve.

Can you clean 'self-cleaning' ovens?
All ovens get dirty and need cleaning.  It is possible to clean a ‘self cleaning’ oven. As we don’t use any harmful chemicals we can clean the ‘stayclean’ surfaces. If your liners are designed to be removed easily, we will take them out and also clean behind them.

Are there any parts of the oven you don’t clean?
We clean the whole oven, what you can see when you look in plus what you can’t see, generally, like the oven roof and behind liners (which we first remove). However, we will not do anything which may be detrimental to your appliance, for example, if the roof of the oven is covered with an element and it is not possible to get fully behind the element without breaking it, we will not risk causing damage.

Why do some companies refer to valeting instead of oven cleaning, and is there a difference?
No, they are both exactly the same thing. Some companies might like to use different names to describe different levels of service they offer.  We only believe in offering a full complete service, where every part of your oven is cleaned to the highest standard.  With Karen’s Ovengleam, there is no tiered cleaning system with different prices, we only offer a ‘5* service’ at a reasonable cost.

How long does the cleaning process take?
We may take a bit longer than other oven cleaning than some of our competitors to clean your oven, ensuring a thorough clean to your appliance(s). We do not use any caustic or solvent based products, only high quality environmentally friendly, bio-degradable solutions.  With one operative, the cleaning process can take from 1 ½ hours to complete depending on the size of the appliance(s) to be cleaned. We will advise you further at the time of your booking, thus fulfilling each individual’s needs and requirements.

Are you fully insured?
It is a legal requirement for any business to be insured and as part of this legal requirement our operatives carry a copy of this insurance for your inspection if you require. Our operatives are fully trained and will take the utmost amount of care with your appliance and within your home.

Do your operatives carry spare parts?
We carry replacement light bulbs and extractor filters (paper / fluffy type).  We can order additional spare parts in advance of your appointment e.g. door seals, carbon filters (subject to make /model and availability). We can also over a repair service to certain electrical appliances, please ask for details.

How soon can I use my oven after the clean?
You will be able to use you appliance(s) immediately.  As we don’t use any harmful chemicals e.g. acids, caustics or solvents, your oven is ready for you to use as soon as our Operative walks out the door.

How often will my oven need professionally cleaning?
This depends on how often the oven is used and what is cooked in it. An oven that is regularly used to cook fatty meats will require more regular visits than an oven that is perhaps used once a week to make vegetarian dishes or cook 'ready meals'.  We recommend every 6 months but you may find that a yearly clean is enough or if you have a large family or regular dinner parties, you may require our services more often. We will be happy to accommodate our next visit to suit you and this may be booked at the time of your initial appointment. Ask our operative for details during your cleaning appointment.

How do I book an appointment?
Just phone, send an email or contact us through our Facebook page and we will do our best to find a date and time to suit you. Our superb booking system allows us to see exactly what available appointments our operative has as far in advance as you would like to book. Please note our service is extremely popular and you may need to book in advance.

I work Mondays to Fridays, are weekend or evening appointments available?
It may be possible to arrange Saturday or evening appointments. Please discuss at the time of booking. Please note any ongoing current promotions will not be valid on out of hours (including Saturday) appointments and some out of hours appointments may even incur a surcharge. Please feel free to discuss your requirements over the phone.

Will there be any additional charges to the price given to me over the phone?
Any applicable parking charges will be payable by the customer. If a parking pass is required please ensure our operative is supplied with one. Charges will be made for new parts fitted e.g. new light bulbs.
